Our friend rented this yesterday and I played it for a bit...

I URGE YOU NOT TO BUY IT!!!

There are a lot of commercials for this game hyping up the film for the film's release. I am looking forward to watching the movie no matter what but the game itself is just a pile of Kong dung. The graphics were slightly impressive compared to XBOX games in general but everything else failed. Controls were extremely sloppy. It was too slow to move and look around, the aiming crosshairs were barely visible on screen, and one can get easily lost.

The A.I. for the game seemed like it was developed a decade ago because the characters noticably acted on cue when you walked on a certain spot in the map. In the beginning of the game, you fight along the female actress and as I played I began to swear and curse at her from where I was sitting as I watched her move around on screen.

The only aspect of the game that I enjoyed somewhat was the sound, but because of the rest, I stopped playing after half an hour where I was still in the beginning of the game.

I'm used to playing first person shooters on the PC, which I recommend over consoles because you have more control over your....controls! Every now and then I play some XBOX games which I have never had a problem with and actually enjoyed. But King Kong is a ding dong for the consoles, just watch it on the big screen.
